Hi! I'm Messane, I'm French, living in Reunion Island (a small island in the Indian Ocean), in love with travelling, especially in Asia!

My Couchsurfing adventure started in 2018 in Taiwan. Then in 2019 and early 2020, I stayed in Seoul and Tokyo. Thanks to CS, I met amazing hosts and people who are now lifelong friends 🙏🏻😊

I like exploring cities, making long-term friends from all around the world, diving, hiking, singing... And above all, I love food and little talks in coffee shops !

I'm not into planning my journeys so much. I'd rather just go and get surprised. I am quite calm and like to take time to walk around, meet people... And let opportunities decide of what's next! :)

CURRENT TRIP : I'm back in Korea 5 years after my very first trip here! I fell in love with Seoul in 2019 and I can't wait to come back in this city, discover more of the country, meet my old friends again and make new ones!

I was born and raised in Grenoble, France, a city that is surrounded by the Alps 🏔️
As far as I can remember, I've always been dreaming of leaving away and go on an adventure!
I had the luck to travel now and then as a kid, mostly in Europe and Morocco, where half of my family lives. Then I started traveling by myself, and immediately loved it!

I have been living in Reunion Island for the last 5 years and it's an amazing tropical place that you surely have to discover!

As for my job, I am a doctor, I work in a hospital where I do diving medicine, and wounds and healing. Still, I try to travel as often as I can! ;)

I used to get a very strong drama addiction, but now I'm lacking time for this too haha

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1) I Hiked Mt Blanc (~4800m) twice :)

2) Crossed North, Central and South Vietnam by motorbike

3) Still in Vietnam, I fell into a shrimp pond by bicycle...

Teach, Learn, Share

I love learning more about local culture and way of life! I'm super curious to know about how things go in your country! This is something I can talk about for hours haha

Also I really love tasting local food! :)

Learning languages: I started studying Japanese by myself, and a little bit of Korean too :) But I never really could practise any of these languages so I would love to!

Also, I was told I'm a pretty decent skiing teacher, but you might rather meet me in warm places/seasons, so I'm sorry it might not be such a relevant skill :p
