ABOUT ME

We joined Couchsurfing for the surfing, but now that we're finally staying in one place for a few years we are more on the couch-providing side of things. We're both in our early 30's, and are happy to meet and host people of all ages.

PHILOSOPHY

I joke that Zach's motto is "No point in doing things halfway!" and mine is "Everything in moderation (including moderation and excluding chocolate.)" so combined we would be... seeking balance?

Interests

Shiny things, tentacled things, all things biology or geology, learning more about whatever country we're in at the time, current events, past events, possible future events, horses (just Melissa), the best local beer (really just Zach, I'll drink it but I'm far from a beer snob), learning how to grow or raise your own food, whatever else you get excited talking about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Won a rodeo contest for fastest dressing of a goat, swam next to whale sharks and manta rays, and saw Obama give his victory speech the night he won the election with 500,000 jubilant Chicagoans

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you fun biology facts, and lots of useless horse stuff. Zach knows a lot about geology here in the US, and we both would like to practice our Spanish and learn about your hometown!
