Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In the past I've hosted, been hosted, and have shown folks around town, but as of late I have been caught up in academia. This summer I will be available again, so shoot me messages! I'd love to show you around the city and its beautiful surroundin' towns.
Atlanta is a strange monster, I'll help you to my best of my abilities to understand all components of ATL life.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I went on a week long trip with my friend Measly through NYC. We met wonderful people and saw new things, enjoyed the company of our hosts and will forever be thankful for their hospitality!
Returned to NYC in March '10 and met even more more people and couchsurfed and later hosted some of the surfers I met in NY.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love any film by Godard. Love film noir and mysteries. Love campy movies and John Waters is the ultimate king of camp. Sci-fi with a hint of realism. I love gore, classic horror movie story lines, classic monsters and ghouls.
I like minimalist romance films. Not much of a cheeseball.
Favorite authors/theorists/philosophers: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, David Sedaris, Michel Foucault, Patricia Hill Collins, Judith Butler, Pierre Bourdieu, Arjun Appadurai, Lila Abu-Lughod, Dorothy Allison, Riki Wilchins.
Music has no limits---think I could get into anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In mid-August a friend and I took a road trip to Miami, a 12 hour car ride. We left Atlanta at 5 in the afternoon, so the trip was mostly at night. We were zombies by 11pm and when suddenly we see a ray of green light appear from the sky. UFO? Later on I did some wiki research, what we saw was a green meteor, also referred to as green fireballs. It was truly beautiful and magical to see it in the middle of a lonely dark interstate. During that trip, we saw 3 more shooting stars (not green, but still beautiful). Miami's magic.
