ABOUT ME

I grew up in Russia, Moscow, but always wanted to study abroad in US. That was one of my big missions. Now I study in college in upstate New York, and I couldn't be happier. In my free time (which seems like a luxury) I pursue my passion in photography, read books, and try to explore the world and people around me. I'd like to think that I'm pretty open minded, so I am open to many things.

Interests

I am interested in photography, reading, humor (stand-up comedy in particular), and technology meaning that I just follow the tech world pretty closely. I have developed an interest in the gym and working out recently as well. I love traveling and connecting it with my passion for photography.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all kinds of music and recently have been into house music and soundcloud scene. Apart from that, I'm very into indie rock such as The Strokes, The Black Keys, The Killers, The Arctic Monkeys, Cage The Elephant and so on. I also listen to rock as well – i love The Beatles (of course), Oasis, Nirvana (which is more of a grunge). However, I still like to be exposed and get into all kinds of music and I'm happy when I find something I really like, because music is a big part of my daily routines.

In terms of books and movies – there are a lot that influenced me to list them all here, but if there is a chance I like to share it with other people.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This summer I jumped from 15 metre cliff (almost 50 feet) to the sea. I guess it's a crazy thing I've done, but it was also amazing. Other things would include camping with my friends in Russia with all kinds of crazy shit happening.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've been tutoring kids and peers in Russian and Math for quite some time now which has been a great experience. I guess I don't really know if I'm good at anything enough to teach people, but I have many useful skills in many fields (such as the ones listed in my interests) that I like to share and improve.
