Overview
About Me
I'm a screenwriter, journalist, and editor. If I'm traveling in your hometown, it's because I want to get a taste of its history and culture, to better learn the experiences of the people and places I write about. I like to work while nursing a glass of top-shelf scotch (current favorites: Laphroaig Quarter Cask, Kilchoman, and the always-reliable Johnnie Walker Black), and I keep the mind nourished with literature and film.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because they say it's important, in fiction, to write what you know. Well, how does one get a sense of the world without knowing its inhabitants? Couchsurfing has expanded the possibilities to meet people one would never have expected otherwise to know.
Interests
I am fascinated by the way in which languages evolve throughout generations to mold against the culture that is using them. I also love to study how a society's architecture is merely the projection of itself onto a foundation.
I also just bought a Nintendo Switch, so I’m picking up Smash Bros.

What I Can Share with Hosts
My main motivation for traveling is to explore history. I'm not sure if it has any relevance to the modern day, but that may be exactly why I like it. What I can share is my wealth of knowledge about lands far and wide, the stories of the people who lived there, and the hopes for their futures. Obviously, I like to tell stories, and once you've gotten me talking its difficult to shut me up.
