Hola!

I'm Mette (yep, difficult to pronounce). I'm from Denmark, but currently living in La Paz (Bolivia). Again. This is the third time', Ive come back to the world's highest capital. This time to do an internship with UN Women as part of my master in Development and International Relations with specialisation in Latin American Studies.

I hold a bachelor's degree in Journalism, so when time allows it, I also work as a freelance journalist. Since I travel a lot, I write a lot of travel stories to Danish newspapers. Preferably, I write about Latin America, about politics, development and climate change.

I'm living in La Paz for the next four months and I'm always up for meeting new people. If you're new to the city, I can also come up with some good advice for what to do here in the heights.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Well, I've only tried it once actually. In Santiago (Chile), which was a great succes.

Couchsurfing is a great way to learn new people and to know more about the country you're visiting. It's more authentic than to stay at a hostel/hostel, so I will definitely do it again.

兴趣

Anything new: Since I'm a journalist, I'm really curious and I like to learn something new - about the world, about people.📸

Traveling: I took my first steps in JFK Airport when I was about 9 months old and I've travelled ever since with my family, friend and by myself. I've been to more than 45 countries, and I always have a new destination to look forward to. Next -> Colombia 🌎🛩

Sports: I've played soccer since I was 7, but I like almost all kinds of sports. Right now, I have a passion for yoga, and since I live in La Paz hiking is also high on my list ⚽️🎾🏓🎿🏂🚴🏄🏊

Food: I'm vegetarian. But I love food and spend a lot of money on it.

Nature: I love being out in nature. Mountains, lakes, the sea - fresh air is good ☀️
