About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm a conference interpreter from Brazil. I've lived in a number of places, traveled to a number of different countries, in my last favorite trip I traveled solo and visited Scotland and Turkey (love love love). Then like in a movie, I was called to do a job in Israel and spent 30 days in a kibbutz in the South, Arava Desert.
My husband and I live in Sao Paulo, one of the largest cities in the world, but our leafy and bohemian neighborhood allows us to endure it. Our home is steps away from Vila Madalena with its cool bars and shops.
Some random facts. I'm friendly and easygoing. A bit shy in large groups. I'm a good judge of character and I've never broken a bone. I've family in three continents. I love a good laugh but I can never remember any jokes. I'm not a big fan of crowded and noisy places and here noisy is somehow worse than crowded. I love to make friends and I love to dance. I'm a good listener. I love children.
Drop me a line and let's connect!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In travel
Volcanic ash everywhere you look (Bariloche 2011)
Bear pawprints near our cabin (Yosemite 2008)
Italians jumping from Ponte Ciolo into the blue waters of the Adriatic (Puglia 2012)
The backwaters of Hungary (Eastern Europe trip, 2010)
In my career
I have translated film director Wim Wenders (he was a MAJOR IDOL for me in my youth when I studied Film Making)
I´ve worked as a translator in high security prisons, in neonatal ICUs, in toll-booths, in rainforests, date plantations, steel plants. I have helped a gentleman with ALS (Lou Gerigh's disease) express his ideas into English. I translated Jimmy Wales, father of Wikipedia and global pop star Anitta too. Last course I attended for my professional development was a week-long Human Anatomy program in Edinburgh.
Teach, Learn, Share
“Do stuff. be clenched, curious. Not waiting for inspiration's shove or society's kiss on your forehead. Pay attention. It's all about paying attention. attention is vitality. It connects you with others. It makes you eager. stay eager.”
― Susan Sontag
