Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Heard about CS a long time ago and love the idea of it. I have periods when I’m quite active and happy to host and quite proud of the city I live in, other times when I’m not so active.
I’m generally happy to offer advice about things to do and see in Cardiff, its outskirts, or other parts of Wales. Happy to meet up for lunch / dinner / drinks. Happy for people to use my house to leave their luggage. Happy for people to borrow bike / bicycles from me.

When I’m travelling myself, I of course try to make use of CS – I’ve had CS fun in London, Budapest, Czech Republic among others.

Interests

Originally from the Snowdonia part of North Wales - I love the outdoors in all seasons. Walk, Trek, Run, HHike, Climb, Camp, Cycle.
Left rural Snowdonia when I was 18, lived in a city since then, enjoying aspects such as live music scenes, clubs, pubs, cinema, exploring architecture, urbex.

Travel
The past 12 months has been good travel-wise. Explored bits of Germany & Italy, skied in France and lived in Czech!
Planning on exploring Belfast, Berlin and Eastern India [ Kolkata > Imphal ] in the next few months.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Left my Cardiff office job in 2014 and moved to Brno [ Cz ] where I ended up cooking in an American gastro pub for a few months. Amazing experience.
