About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting ready to cross the pond.

ABOUT ME

I am really into riding my bike around town and getting into arguments about restaurants. I'm simple. My friends come first. I am not very punctual, but am very good natured and jovial.

PHILOSOPHY

the modern concept of time is a waste byproduct of industrialization. Make your own, and enjoy things at that pace. (probably best recited internally with a slow southern drawl)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tell as many people as possible about this. Hopefully, this summer will help me color my pitch with vivid description.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't utilized the site yet, but I had a wonderful couch surfing experience in Berkeley, CA. My friend for some years kindly hosted me for the better part of a week. I started out with a clear-cut itinerary of things I would have liked to have done in the Bay area, and managed to do one several times over, I rode the BART. The itinerary slowly burned away as I let sidewalks, scenery, sounds, and smells dictate the rest of my explorations. This, I discovered, would provide me with more pleasure than I'd had in some time.

Interests

Travel (duh), cooking, food, bicycles, brewing beer, golf, tennis, rugby, being more energetic, public transportation, garage rock, jokes, drinking culture, jogging, social well fare, books about food, finishing college, being in a shitty garage band, cobra attacks, motorcycle gangs, beef between rappers, delivering pizza.

Movies: I generally like comedies, but have been known to look outside of the genre from time to time.

Ask me about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Anything I accomplish is amazing.
Also, I once saw a bar fight. I don't really know if that is considered amazing in the general guidelines of this exercise, but it was pretty intense.

Teach, Learn, Share

There are a few things I know: Hospitality, how to make wonderful fried chicken, how to brew extract-based beer, how to complain about bad music, and the city of Norman.
