Overview
About Me
I enjoy scorpion infused tequila and playing ultimate frisbee.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I host at times. More to come...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
One guy came with me to a local cenote and later sent me a video he took of me jumping off this ridiculously high ledge. Totally rocked.
Interests
Physical exertion followed by a good book and the memory of a great meal.
In list form: Ultimate frisbee, swimming, snorkeling, white water rafting, bouldering, travel (I suppose that goes without saying), work, translation and perhaps most importantly: food.
Music, Movies, and Books
Sacred Games by Vikram Chandra was my favorite read when I first joined Couchsurfing. I just read The Martian and loved it.
I am a total movie nerd, but not in an overly pretentious way. I could watch Lang and Eisenstein, but am more likely to see something featuring Brad Pitt. I will watch just about anything, and like most of it.
Like so many in the post-shuffle era, it is easier to define the music I don't like than the music I do (definitely don´t like really heavy death metal, for example). That said, most of what I own fits the original definition of RAP: Rythm And Poetry.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Jumping off the bridge at Jalcomulco, Ver. Sadly, the course of the river below has changed and its too low to jump safely. Fortunately there are other good spots nearby, including the waterfalls of 'el descabezadero.'
Teach, Learn, Share
Minds are like parachutes. They only function when open.
