ABOUT ME

I'm a friendly french guy (rather than a french friendly guy), looking to meet people everywhere I go. Even though I don't always ask every question that's on my mind, I would say that what characterizes me the most is my curiosity. I don't like to talk about myself much, so I won't say much more (you'll have to discover it by yourselves!). But I should at least say that I like to share experiences and to discuss about the world, its beauties and its problems, about cultures and their differences, and to discover other points of view than mine.

Interests

Cinema is my passion and my subject of study, so I spend a lot of time watching films, talking about them. I guess one of the things I like the most in seeing a movie for the first time is that I feel like I've met someone, who has spoken to me. So i'm almost as glad to see a good movie as to meet somebody new!
One thing I really like to do when I have time, is to wander in the streets, and to look around me - at people, at buildings, at animals. I always discover new places, new images, and I feel that it brings me some kind of a better understanding of how people live. Other than that, my interests are photography, books, theatre and concerts, and going out, having a drink with people to discuss about all this!

Movies from all around the world (even though I must admit that most of the movies I watch are from Europe and America). Old movies by Buster Keaton, Chaplin, Lubitsch, Billy Wilder, Capra, Cukor, Hawks, Fritz Lang, Murnau, Dreyer, Carné, Orson Welles, More recent movies by Bela Tarr, Kieslowski, Terrence Malick, Sokurov, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, Kiarostami, Woody Allen, Fatih Akin, Michel Gondry...

Books: mostly french ones, by my favorite authors: Romain Gary, Barjavel, Pennac, ...

Music: rock, indie, world music, classical music.
