About Me
Yo!
I'm originally from a little village in the north of England, then I moved to Paris, where I spent four years eating cheese, drinking cheap wine and occasionally studying and doing translation work.
Although I'll miss Paris a lot, I've decided to move on, the world is too big to stay in one place. So now I'm in Montreal getting paid to play video games and eating a fuck-load of poutine, let's hang out some time!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is always the first thing I go to when I'm travelling somewhere, I've stayed with some amazing people, made some great friends and it's definitely the best way to get to know new places.
I have stayed with quite a lot of people when I've been travelling, so now it's time to give back and host some people myself!
Interests
Picnics in parks with too much wine and too much food, swimming in lakes, cycling through cities at night
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Psychadelic chill stuff, old school hip-hop or anything I can funk out to
Movies - Gainsbourg, Vie Héroïque, Where the Wild Things Are, Trance, Wes Anderson (like everyone I guess)
Books - Walter Moers, Jasper Fforde
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Dangling my legs out of a window and watching the Northern Lights in Iceland
2. Abseiling down the side of Table Mountain in Cape Town
3. Paddling in a lake in the Norwegian countryside at 3am during the midnight sun
4. Driving up tiny mountain paths in Switzerland in a tiny old car at about 5mph for about an hour, and finally reaching the top to the Italian border with some epic Prince blasting out of the radio
5. Jumping into the canal during a heatwave in Paris
6. Lying in a canoe in the middle of a lake and watching the stars at Kejimkujik National Park in Nova Scotia
