ABOUT ME
My friends would say I'm an open guy: Like everyone on couchsurfing, I love traveling, meeting people and seeing different cultures. I'm an anthropologist by trade and a student at heart, always trying to see new perspectives, approach issues differently and get my mind blown. I love getting my world turned up-side down by new information or a new way of looking at things! I believe that everybody's got their story and I want to hear it. So we should talk, I'm sure it'll be interesting, no matter who you are!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new, green and fresh. I've surfed in Amsterdam but never hosted. Lots of stuff to come!
Interests
I'm a bibliophile, especially with literature of the sociological and anthropological kind. When academic issues and theory is combined with actual life experiences and people, I'm hooked.
I dig on music. I need it constantly. I love expanding my tastes, talking about music, getting into the flows and the rhythms. If you can get stoked from listening to a nice drum fill, I'm your buddy.
I love debating and discussing issues; not to win, but to learn. Mix well with the great social agent that is alcohol, and it can be even better. A glass of red wine and an interesting partner in conversation can easily make my night.

Music, Movies, and Books
Give me some indie rock and I'm set: I love The Smiths, The Cure, Joy Division and other moody, British rock bands from the 80's. I'm incurably infatuated with Morrissey, and I dig on the "old" greats like Bowie, Iggy Pop, Lou Reed, Stones, The Band and all that.
I really enjoy the way Tom Waits keep surprising me, making me go places musically I'd never thought to go.
I can go for more contemporary bands (but still moody!) like Frightened Rabbit, Dirty Projectors, The Editors etc.
For dancing, there's nothing better than dancehall and other Jamaican derivatives. If it's got bass, I'm there!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I find it's really difficult to condense my life's moment into 2 or 3 situations. Falling in love, my first concert with Morrissey, the first time I asked a girl to dance and she said yes, the first time I cooked my own dinner made in my own kitchen, the first time I got on an airplane and flew by myself, whenever I've been fortunate enough to hold the hand of someone special and kiss her, all the times I've been with the people I love - these were all "amazing" moments that made me realize I simply loved being here in this life.
