About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be a good human, a good father, a good friend. Have a minimalist approach to life and be respectful with the environment. Stop animal exploitation and live a mindful life.

Keep looking for my true purpose in this world and be at service for others.

ABOUT ME

I like to meet people from everywhere, discover cultures from the world, taste different food (vegan), travel.
I've been working as a software engineer, lived for a few years in Paris, then took a one year break for traveling in Asia and returned to live in Lyon for a few years, I'm now living in Geneva.
I'm the happy father of an amazing girl, who surprises me every day, and teach me a lot about myself (especially patience :) ).

PHILOSOPHY

Yoga is my path, I discovered it a few years back and it's been influencing many things in my life. I guess it can help all of us finding our true self, understanding our feelings, emotions, touching our soul. It helps me find my balance in life and become a better human being.

I'd like to discover the world by traveling and meeting new people. But I want to do this with respect for people, cultures and the planet.

As a recent vegan, and "veteran" vegetarian, I became very focused about moral, environmental and health issues around animals but not only.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I was living in Paris, I had some room to let people sleep on my couch, I know hotels can be very expensive in this city and it's better if you can spend your money for other things. And traveling this way make us understand local culture better.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had only very good experiences with the people I've hosted so far.
Each one has been very different and enriching.

Interests

My daughter is my number 1 interest. Spending time with her, help her to make sense of our world, listening to her stories that means the world to me.

Practice yoga, it has been an "on and off" thing but I always come back to it, especially if life gets tough and I need to recenter.
I've been running for years, and lately, I've been doing more trail running. The exercise, mental strength and connection with nature is the perfect mix for me. I like to participate to some races from 20k to 70k.

I like to taste different food (vegan), travel, meet people. Going to the movies and going out in the wilderness.

Nature and especially mountain is my go-to place when I start to feel disconnected.
I'm also very interested in the Asian culture, especially Indian philosophy, Buddhism and Yoga.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Holding my daughter in my arm after she's born, realizing how precious she is and how life will never be the same again.

Seeing dolphins while kayaking on the Mekong in the south of Lao.

Feeling so small at the feet of the giant, scary and yet beautiful Annapurna from the base camp in Nepal.

Climbing gunung Agung in Bali in the middle of the night, surrounded by an ocean of stars, as I've never seen before.

Seeing the floating ice in the beautiful lake of Jökulsárlón in Iceland.

Teach, Learn, Share

If there's one thing I want to learn and teach, it's the importance of connections. Connection to others, to the nature but especially with our inner self. Understanding our emotions, our mind, our heart, our guts, is the most important skill we'll ever learn.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A human connection moment, talking about things that matter. A cup of coffee and a piece of chocolate is also always welcome :)
