ABOUT ME

I was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised about 20 minutes from the city in Marietta, Georgia. I consider myself a relatively outgoing person and I love to meet new people from all over the world. I am pretty easy going and get along with most people. With that being said, I am probably half-way between introverted and extroverted. I enjoy going out and meeting people but at the same time highly value time to myself whether it be at home or walking around in nature/city. I value my family and friends heavily and am very grateful for them. The only thing I truly expect from a person(friend or not) is that they show me respect. I really enjoy meeting unique people that aren't afraid of showing their true selves. My love for traveling began when I took a trip with my family to Ireland and Switzerland in the summer of '07 and have loved every aspect of it ever since. Other than traveling and interacting with people, my other true love is MUSIC. Listening or going to live shows is one of my favorite things to do. I started DJing as a hobby in 2008 and really enjoy it because it is a great way to express myself and experience music in a different way. I enjoy creating a unique atmosphere for people to vibe and/or be introduced to music they are unfamiliar with. Music is so great in the sense that it can connect so many different people regardless of age, race, or background. It truly has no boundaries.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is beautiful. Learn to love and enjoy every single bit of it. Happiness should never be taken for granted. Always remember that one can never know everything throughout a lifetime and to always be open to learning something new whether it be fact or a different perspective.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I am using CS for traveling purposes and to make new friends. I feel that the best way to travel in an unfamiliar place is by meeting locals and getting a chance to see life through their perspective. Plus, human connection is amazing in itself whether it be through shallow humor or deep conversation. Hope to meet some genuine people through this site along the way.

In to many different types of music and love discovering/being introduced to artists I have yet to hear . Some artists that I really enjoy: Tame Impala, Björk, Radiohead, The Chemical Brothers, Outkast, Clark, St Vincent, Caribou, Sufjan Stevens.

Genres: Electronic(Experimental, Beat, House, Techno, Bass, Dance), Rock(Indie, Psychedelic, Rock and Roll), Jazz, Hip Hop, R&B, Pop, Avant-Garde, Classic Rock, Classical. I am open to a lot of different music. One might call me a music junkie.

Books: Trying to read more but I often do not make the time. I just finished Peace Is Every Step by Thich Nhat Hanh and recommend it. I am about to start reading The Alchemist. Also have a Björk biography that I've left unopened for too long.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Hard to choose one. I have been blessed with an amazing life filled with many beautiful people and so much opportunity.
Last year I lived in Prague for a little over 3 months. It was my first experience moving to a different country(or even state) where I knew no one. I ended up having to leave soon after 3 months because I was unable to obtain a visa but I am grateful for the experience.
