About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To share, learn, and adventure (in no specific order)

ABOUT ME

Political economy student and social/racial justice activist by day, adventurer, musician, activist, and secretly wishing to be 5 years old again by...day. I´m in my senior year at Tulane University and growing to love New Orleans more every day. It´s an amazing city, and you should come visit. Seriously. While looking at life through such a serious and often bleak lens through what I´m studying, embracing the absurdity of existence is often necessary, and it´s been pretty successful so far.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Up for getting drinks and coffee. And coffee. And then maybe some more coffee. Showing people around New Orleans outside of Bourbon Street. Breaking out into spontaneous drum circles or street performing in the city. Currently in a little bit o' flux, but I'm able to host a small number of people

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing helped me quite literally survive, a backpacking trip through Europe during the summer 2011. The people I've met through being hosted by them have been wonderful and will forever be part of the memory of my youth. I've made some good friends and kept some good connections through this marvelous little contraption, and I'd love to contribute to the same for others.

Interests

Talking political theory, international politics, life in general. Exploring uncharted territory, whether it be an urban landscape or the wild blue yonder.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music of any kind. I'm a musician, and my favorite way to learn about new people and places is through music and performance. If you're serious about it and not acting as an armchair politial pundit, I'm delighted to get into some radical politics witchya. Les' talk about NOLA, racism, social justice, communes, communities, love, life, and all the above.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Fairly typical Mardi Gras scene:
(Drunk tourist lying on the ground in the French Quarter, as a scene begins to form immediately after his fall)
Medic: "Sir, I can see your skull."

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to play (in varying levels of actual ability): Drums of almost any kind, washboard, banjo, guitar (cliche), electric bass, didgeridoo, kitchen appliances, random pieces of nature. Everything is an instrument-you just need to treat it right. Also, let's juggle a bit. We've got a house full of thinkers, musicians, artists, and circus performer-wannabes.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, Germany, Mexico, Poland

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
