À propos de moi
CURRENT MISSION
Gather as many life experiences as possible, do something constructive in my next 2 years
ABOUT ME
Starting a new chapter of my life in California. So far I love it.
I enjoy reading, although I'm trying to read less and became more engaged. I want to constantly make myself a better person and not take anything for granted. Learning is an important part of that.
I love walking long distances, carrying everything I need on my back, and getting grimy and not caring. I always want to see what's around the next corner. There's no feeling like the tiredness you feel after a long day of constantly moving and being filthy and sweaty and reflecting on it with your friends.
One of my greatest joys in life is my dog. I found him as a puppy in a gutter on death's door on my birthday. He followed me 4 miles home so I didn't have the heart to not keep him. He's overcome ticks, an ungodly amount of fleas, worms like a bowl of spaghetti, and parvovirus. He followed me everywhere while in Peace Corps and has endured me dragging him to Nicaragua, to and across the USA, and now Puerto Rico. He's the dog I always dreamed of having as a kid.
I want to make the world a better place but am not really sure how. I'm trying, though. Hoping. All while relentlessly listening to Pearl Jam.
PHILOSOPHY
Make the world a better place and always HOPE. You have no control over anything so sit back, try to relax, and enjoy it as it comes.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
On the Road-Jack Kerouac Influenced me more than any other book.
Noam Chomsky helped form my understanding of how the world works.
Pearl Jam is the greatest band on earth. To be fair I listen to other music, i.e. Rusted Root, Calle 13, Neil Young, Sizzla, Bone Thugs n Harmony, The Evens, Fugazi, Modest Mouse, Incubus, Immortal Technique, etc. But really Pearl Jam is the only one that matters.
4 best movies of all time, not in any particular order: Home Alone, Transformers the original cartoon movie, Star Wars (I'm classifying the entire thing as 1 movie), Ghostbusters. Lately I've been obsessed with the Dark Knight Trilogy.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
I walked from Nicaragua to Panama. I am B2B.
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
I have degrees in anthropology and economics and have worked in archaeology and economic development so I can pass on a little about that stuff. I'm also ESL certified and have given ESL classes in small, rural towns and at a U.S. university. I love helping people learn English.
