ABOUT ME
I used to get by in an ultra-conservative town with my non-ultra-conservative friends. Now that I've moved away, though, I'm having to get by without those crazy kids.
Otherwise, I'm tall, skinny, and pretty hairy. I enjoy pretty much any experience, with perhaps the exception of listening to most country music. I'm in a transitional period of my life and enjoying it. I'm excited about how I'm changing and how I'm changing the world around me.
PHILOSOPHY
This has changed a lot in the last few years. I suppose now its somewhere around: Have a great time, be responsible, and care enough about people to understand who they are and why they do what they do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm still pretty new, so my participation is mostly experiencing couch surfing and doing my best to provide a great experience for the people who are gracious enough to let me stay in their homes.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed in a few different places and had an amazing time. I have a bad habit of waiting a little too long before asking for a couch -- which I'm trying to fix. I'm still pretty new at this, but can't wait to see how my next experiences will unfold.
Interests
Oh jeez, so much. I enjoy people most of all, but I also like talking, reading, being outdoorsy (hiking, spelunking, rock climbing, ultimate, bike polo, sports in general), and being indoorsy (watchin movies, chilling out, playing games of any sort).

Music, Movies, and Books
The list is too long. It's hard to find something I don't like, as long as its interesting. Like I said before, though, I'm a tough country music critic. Oh, and everyone should read Heinlein's Stranger in a Strange Land.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'd probably have to say (if you equate amazing with crazy or wild) that it'd be the time I got maced by police in Paris. My eyes stung and I couldn't taste anything for a while, but it was definitely worth the story.
Teach, Learn, Share
So my degree is in nuclear engineering. If you're interested, I'd love to talk to you about it and answer any questions you may have.
In general, I'm up for learning pretty much anything someone's willing to teach me. Currently, computer programming and the culinary arts...
