Overview
About Me
I'm an illustrator based in Seattle, WA, USA (currently in Madrid, Spain as an auxiliar de conversacíon). Before art became my full-time gig, I worked in hostels in the US and Ireland.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
People, places, philosophy, anthropology, mythology, languages, film, books = my reasons for traveling and being on CS. While my job is teaching English to primary school students, my passion is taking all those reasons for traveling and turning them into paintings and stories.
Spending time with people from all over the world, sharing stories, seeing new places, and making new friends is a wonderful way to pursue my passion project, live a rewarding life, and share that passion with others.
Interests
Art - I love everything... Everything ranging from the Venus of Willendorf to Banksy.
Beer, Wine, and Spirits - There's nothing like getting to know new people over a pint or delicious adult beverage :)
Coffee - I made a lot of art and a lot friends while sitting in coffee shops nursing a fine, dark bevvy.
Movies - Mostly I watch off-the-radar foreign, indie, strange, and subtitled films!
... and rainy, foggy, cold weather... coastlines, cliffs, and rocky beaches... I love these landscapes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Aside from living and working in a hostel in Seattle, WA for a year and a half, I took care of a hostel in Connemara, Ireland while it was closed down for the winter season. I was pretty isolated, had to hitchhike for food and fuel for the fire, and had an entire coastline to myself... It was lonely and amazing. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to teach/share:
How CouchSurfing has made my travels that much more amazing
I want to learn:
About your city, where you've been, and where you want to go.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I've got stories, time, and a penchant for helping prepare a meal... and, i'll probably have my coffee grinder and press with me ;)
