Overview
About Me
I work as a tour guide in a silvermine and enjoy spending my days both down in the dark and up in the trees, as I also work as an adventure track instructor there. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals and tractors, at sixteen I moved into town and that is where I am today.
I enjoy meeting people and getting to know them but I also enjoy having alone time, by myself or in comfortable silence with others.
A couple of years ago I moved to the north of Sweden to Bäckedals Folkhögskola to study historical handcrafts for a while. The first semester I studied traditional tanning and sewing in leather and then a year of different textile crafts. At some point in my life I think I plan on going back, just to be able to spend the entire day in the workroom and then take a quick swim in the icy river after sauna at night.
I think that the best way to describe me is that I am a bit chaotic in an organized way which probably doesn't say much I guess. I like seeing things, meeting strangers and walking barefoot in the summer. And liquorice.
If you're interested in the life on a swedish farm, here is the home farm (unfortunately mostly in swedish, but also cute animal viedos): https://www.facebook.com/Fallangetorp/
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing because one day I believe that I'm going to get over my fear of travelling and actually go someplace.
I also think it is hard to get to know a place without getting to know the people who live there.
Interests
History, dancing, baking, exploring, music, sewing, crafting, reading, picnics.
In short I enjoy daydreaming and to be outdoors, preferably at the same time and sometimes with company.
More often than not the bread you will find in my pantry is baked in the middle of the night before when the sudden urge for baking seemed more interesting than sleep. That, or I just wanted an alibi for not turning off my computer.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pratchett, Sherlock Holmes, Gaiman, Tolkien, Harry Potter, Jane Eyre, Dickens, Barbery and Austen.
When it comes to movies and music I have quite a mixed taste that varies with the seasons.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I travelled a lot through my school and will always remember walking around alone in Shanghai with my host and seeing all the places she liked to go.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you would like to talk about mining in the 17th century, old crafts or how growing up in different places shape us as people we can have a cup of tea and talk for a couple of hours if you like. I'd like us not to be prejudiced towards people who doesn't share our upbringning or experiences in life, but rather that we learn from each other.
If you have any tips on vintage shops or thrift stores where you live I'de be very happy to learn the secrets of the local haunts!
