Overview
About Me
After 8 years in Canada I'm back in France to study visual arts.
I had various jobs in finance, CSR and IT in the past few years but since 2018 I'm trying to spend less time in offices and to spend more time travelling and on my own work, which means visual arts, music, writing and politics.
2021 was a special year because I lived in the nature and learned a lot of manual skills during 3 months of wwoofing experience in British Columbia, and then I gave my career a new direction with the decision of going back to school, to dive into art practice. I also decided to go back to my country of birth for a bit.
I have also been married to an amazing Acadian musician for 2 years.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I used CS a few times when I start travelling, and after a period of hostels/airbnb/camping I'm now back to it because I think it's the best way to meet local people and have great human experiences
I had a lot of changing housing situations (flat sharing, traveling periods...) that made hosting complicated and I was never able to say yes to the few requests I received. I really want to host now and pay back all the kindness I received on CS.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies : you tell me movies, I tell you on the top of my mind Paris,Texas, Jackie Brown, Drive My Car, Lost Highway, Duel, Broken Flowers, Dallas Buyers Club, Two Lovers, Kaboom, Clockwork Orange, Moonrise Kingdom, Whiplash...
Books : essays (environment, economics, sociology, urban planning...) as much as novels (a bit of everything except SciFi and fantasy) or comics
Music : rock, funk, jazz, disco, techno, folk, classical, kind of everything! I'm into any music that makes you feel the heart and soul that's behind
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I quit my job, drove from Montreal to Vancouver with a friend, sleeping in a van for a month and feeling free
I decided to use Tinder one last time, what made me meet my future wife
I climbed an extinct volcano in Nicaragua with an amazing 65 years old guide that was able to have a conversation with monkeys
I lived on a remote island in British Columbia for 6 weeks, doing lumberjack job, surrounded by bears, wolves and cougars
And so more, life is amazing, isn't it? (true but cheesy part)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can talk to you about local citizen involvement for hours as I've been one of the project carriers of the Oasis Bellechasse, a wonderful project that made a public place greener and happier in my old neighborhood in Montreal.
I still want to learn a lot more about urban planning, architecture and citizen power!
I would be happy to speak French with you, I'm proud of my language and want to share it.
I also have some great playlists!
I'm really passionate about politics, alternative economics, social justice and environment protection, just be warned :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook, I can help you on some renovation works, I can teach you some French, I can help you with computers (Excel for example... yeah boring I know)... I would be happy to help for anything!
