About Me
Hi!
My name is Helena and I'm a 20 year old girl who decided to stop studying to think a little bit about my future and what I really want from this life. I studied last year in a general course where I decided my own classes and made my own schedule. It was called General Studies it was a unique experience but I wasn't 100% sure of what I was doing there so here I am now, trying to explore a little bit of the world in hopes I will find my way through it.
I consider myself a laidback, positive, calm, open-minded, chill person! I just try to take the most out of every moment and every person that I have the opportunity to meet because I believe that's what life is about: moments, people, emotions and connections !
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard about CS from a friend of mine who tried it last summer. Since then I've been curious about the idea and when I first experienced CouchSurfing for real, at the end of September 2019 I decided I needed to keep exploring the world this way: meeting as many people and cultures as I could. And nothing better than CS to do that!
Besides that I believe everyone has a different story that's worth telling/listening to :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Some of my favourite music artists are portuguese: António Variações, Dino d'Santiago, Conan Osíris, B Fachada, S Pedro, etc
But I also like The Smiths, Khruangbin, Louis Armstrong, J.Cole, Tyler the Creator, Vampire Weekend, Still Woozy, Tame Impala and Arctic Monkeys. Tbh I hear any type of music!
My favourite movie must be "Submarine" or "Coraline".
My favourite movie gender is horror.
And books... I read a lot so it's hard for me to have a favourite one but I would say "The Second Sex" from Simone de Beauvoir or "The Metamorphosis" from Kafka.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
(Even though it isn't an AaAMmaAaZziInNgGGg thing, I enjoyed a lot doing this!!)
This summer I started to travel by my own. I didn't had the chance to travel abroad so I explored a little bit of the coast of my country, Portugal. It was a small trip of 4 days but it was a really unique experience.
I met a lot of interesting people and I've realized that I love solo travelling and my own company on these type of stiuations.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some painting, watercolour techniques and a few words in portuguese!!
Also I know a lot about drinks and cocktails due to my job at the winery!
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I quitted my studies I started to work on a wine house where I learned how to do a looot of drinks. So if you are into cocktails, wine or cool drinks I can teach you how to do some like a pro!
Also I love to talk so I'd share some good talks with you!
