Présentation
À propos de moi
I haven’t been on CS ("couchsurfing") since my Uni days in the UK back in 2014. Now (2022) I just recovered my CS account and would be able to surf/host/meet up with fellow CS members.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I've met new CS friends especially in Kent, UK and we have done several meet up sessions. We've met up at Starbucks, Canterbury and they even being presence during my open presentation at my Uni's lecture hall when I was presenting on my country pertaining cultures, foods and lifestyle to a group of postgraduate students.
Apart from that, I've experienced being hosted by several gracious hosts during my solo UK adventure. The most amazing CS experiences when I did my solo UK trip in May/June 2014! I went to Wales (Cardiff), Northern Ireland (Belfast), Scotland (Glasgow and Edinburgh) and England (Bristol, Bath, Brighton); oh and stopped by in Ireland (Dublin). My gracious hosts named Peter (in Cardiff), Connor (in Bristol), Victor (in Glasgow) and Zak (in Brighton); and not forgetting Jack (in Glasgow) as we went for a drinks and had a fruitful conversation eventhough I didn't surf at his couch.
When I'm on CS, I need to have a positive mindset when meet up with new people, crashing at their places which I haven't met face to face and also unable to receive couch request acceptance in any other cities. But it's OK as the main purpose of CS is not to get a free accommodation but to get a first hands information and seeing the city through a local's eyes. Thanks to all who have involved in this wonderful journey and I can't thank them enough!
Now that I'm back in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and I have my own space to host/meet up any CS travelers, I will try my best to accommodate and be a great host.
