Hello! I am Mia. I’m Chinese American and am currently living in Shenzhen, China. I’m an adventurous eater and foodie and I enjoy a more relaxed itinerary like walking, people watching, parks, hiking, and cafes. Hope to meet other travels and locals alike!

Couchsurfing is a great and unique way of getting to know the people of an area. I am looking forward to making connections with both locals and other travelers.

兴趣

I absolutely love trying new food and most especially love learning how to make food. I am an experienced home cook and take a lot of pride in the joys of preparing, cooking, and presenting food to share with others—it is how I show my love! I love meeting new people and finding what is both common and uncommon between us. Social relationships really enrich lives and are a high priority of mine, although I am generally introverted in nature. I also enjoy scoping out new landscapes from both urban to the natural offerings of the land. Outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, and soaking up the sun are great ways to spend my day. I love exploring markets for shopping and food. But mostly I love to relax and enjoy my surroundings and allow the day to be freely open to whatever it may lead to.

I love to share what is close to the heart and will listen with an open and compassionate mind. I enjoy helping out where needed, especially if related to the kitchen, as food and cooking (and talking!) are my greatest passions.
