CURRENT MISSION

To travel the world far and wide and see what the universe has in store for us

ABOUT ME

We are an Australian couple and have traveled North, Central and South America. We started in Canada in 2011 and ended in Argentina in 2014. We enjoy learning and reading about eastern and traditional philosophies, meditating and learning about permaculture and sustainable living. We are easy going and enjoy spending time with people and sharing ideas, experiences, philosophies, food, wine and cups of tea.

PHILOSOPHY

Caring for one another, the planet and ALL her inhabitants. Appreciating this delicate Earth ship that is hurtling through space and enjoying EVERY beautiful synchronistic, amazing, and sometimes painful and darn right annoying moments!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have been so fortunate to have surfed and met the most incredible people, some of whom have become our most dear and cherished friends. We have also hosted such amazing and beautiful people, and we are looking forward to visiting our friends that have hosted at their homes and visiting their countries!

Interests

We enjoy meeting people from around the world. We love the out doors and spending time camping and being in nature. We both love listening to a wide variety of music which includes acoustic and electronic and tribal/traditional music. Im a trained acupuncturist and also enjoy learning about all forms of healing including crystal healing and sound healing. I am also a Meditation Teacher and Holistic Counsellor, and currently run meditation classes and workshops. Brent is a theatre technician and enjoys producing music, climbing trees woodwork and leather work. We both love to work together making beautiful leather creations. We arrived in Montreal in December 2011 and have traveled across Canada. We lived in gorgeous Victoria on Vancouver Island, and from there traveled through the West coast of the US, into Mexico and all through Central America, from Panama we flew to Lima and traveled through Peru, Bolivia and Argentina. This was an epic 3 year adventure and journey! We have met so many beautiful souls throughout our travels and feel so blessed to have made amazing connections and friendships.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2010 we were living out of our van and driving around Australia. We went to Uluru (Ayres Rock) in the Northern Territory, climbed 90 meter trees in Pemberton in Western Australia and walked through an ancient forest in the Florentine Valley in Tasmania.
In Canada our transmission blew up in a native indigenous community. The medicine man of the community was incredibly generous to us by inviting us to stay with him while we sorted out our car. He shared so much knowledge and showed us so much love throughout the week we stayed with him. It was such an incredible experience that we will never forget!
In Central America we climbed Volcanoes, swam in Cenotes and in the Caribbean, went for wild jungle adventures and visited Mayan ruins. In South America, we biked through the deserts, climbed Machu Picchu, lived and hiked amongst the Andes Mountains, visited the Bolivian Salt Flats and meditated by Lake Titicaca.

Teach, Learn, Share

We would love to learn about alternative and sustainable lifestyles and communities, aswell as methods of travel such as hitching and getting by with little money.
We would love to share our leather and macrame creations aswell as teach these crafts, along with Traditional Chinese Medicine and crystal massage and meditation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We love to cook, so we can cook up delicious dinners that can cater for a wide range of diets - vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
We enjoy having meaningful conversations with people about life, philosophy, the environment.
We also love to craft, and can share leather work and macrame techniques. Brent is a technical wizard and can assist in anything technical, and i can offer guided meditations, massage and reiki.
