Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m an American gal from Louisiana. I graduated university with a bachelors degree in Psychology May of 2017. However, after graduation I had zero desire of applying for a masters program or getting a “real” job. Instead, I worked a few jobs to save up money, quit those jobs, and then left to travel the world on my own. (Two years on the road now!!!) I truly believe it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I can be slightly shy, yet I’m also outgoing. If that makes any sense? I can be quite silly, and I’m not afraid to be myself at all (ya know, once I’m past the shy stage). I enjoy learning from others — especially topics I know very little on as I like to broaden my knowledge on any, and everything available to me.
I thoroughly enjoy couchsurfing as a means of traveling. It’s the BEST way to meet locals as meeting people is my favorite aspect of traveling. There are so many amazing people in this world, and so many incredible stories to share and to be heard. I am beyond thankful for the hosts that have taken me in, spent time with me, and truly made me feel at home. I don’t use this app as a means of free accommodation (though my bank account appreciates it). I made this account so that I could learn from others and of their culture, and of course to make friends.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love most of the general music types — rock (including metal), some pop, indie, classical or piano, 80s and 90s rock and classic hits.
As for movies, I enjoy horror, comedy, Disney, educational, etc. I’m pretty open to both music and movies.
Books: I read a lot of mystery, true crime, educational, and a bit of romance.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Volunteered at a psychiatric hospital and special needs facility for a month in Sri Lanka. Solo traveled Europe for eight months. Faced my fears by scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef. Bungy jumped at Australia’s only bungy tower. Hitchhiked across a few European countries. Paraglided over Lake Bled in Slovenia.
