About Me

I am busy studying occupational therapy because my bachelor's degree in European studies hasn't so far led to employment (other than self-employment). My three teenagers also attend school. I like the idea of hosting guests who are good role models and extroverted. My kids can learn from other creative people! We especially enjoy hosting liberal, independent, spiritual and intellectual guests.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I need a couch in the Florida Keys and other places since Hurricane Irma destroyed my house there. I can sometimes trade a couch in beautiful Denmark! Even friends in the Florida island chain already have hurricane victims on every couch, and can't put me up as they previously did.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was born in Denmark, raised in Ithaca, New York and Göteborg, Sweden, and, after trying out life in 11 different states (HI., CA., CO., WY., ME., VT., NY., MA., NJ., KY. & FL.), was lucky enough to find a fine husband and move to Denmark.

Teach, Learn, Share

You can check out archeological excavations nearby, where we think a Viking king may have lived. There are burial mounds all over Denmark. Some are chambers you can climb into, like at Refsvindinge mill. The Viking ship museums at Roskilde and Ladby, Kerteminde are breathtakingly exciting. Check out the bird painter Johannes Larsen's legendary art museum, windmill and home. Or just lounge on your choice of 3 local beaches.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know about all the good museums and activities in Denmark. Use the kitchen, as long as you leave as you found it.
