À propos de moi

ABOUT ME
Hi everyone :)

📌My name is Mia and I'm 20
years old.
I'm studying economics in Vienna with focus on socioeconomics.

📌 I was born in Slovakia, so I speak Slovak language. I also speak English and German on a really good level. If you're German I prefer that you write in German, because it makes me feel like you read my profile carefully :). I'm also trying to learn French, so if you're French, there is a high chance that I will host you because I would like to practice my French.

📌 I currently don't have a lot of free time because I'm studying and working as well so I probably won't have time to show you around or go partying with you. That's why it's a good idea to write other people from CS in Vienna- especially when you're traveling solo. But when I have a little free time I will show you my fav places in Vienna which aren't so mainstream. I usually have time during the weekends - but not always.

📌I receive a lot of requests. I would love to host all of you but I unfortunately have to filter a little bit. There are few things you should read before you write a request:

📌 You don't have to write me your life story, I'm usually too lazy to read it. Just write straight to the point + some important things about you + something we have in common.

📌Please don't write me things like 'I like you' 'I think you're beautiful' I know it sounds funny but I receive many requests like this. Although my ego is pleased, there is like a 0% chance I will host you if you write your request that way.

📌Write like 2 weeks in advance. Not two months. Or 1 year (yeah it happened to me once as well).

📌Please if you moved to Vienna and don't have place to live - don't ask to stay at my place. I'm not a hotel. (I get many requests like can I stay at your place for 1 month - no you can't). There is a website wggesucht.at - you can find a cool place to live there.

📌Don't expect that you're stay at my place will be like a stay at a 3* hotel. I can offer you some free towels, but it's always good to ask in advance for it so I can wash my laundry and get prepared for it.

📌Breakfest: I usually have a sandwich and butter, jam and nutella at my place - so you can feel free to take it :). Sometimes I prepare a really special breakfest for myself, and you can be really happy when it happens while you're here but it doesn't happen very often since I don't have time for it.

📌 I have two flatmates but we have separate bedrooms. You won't really meet them because they're studying as well and don't really have much time.

📌I won't let in you my apartment alone. I only have one key - so if I need to leave - you need to leave with me - especially in the morning. But we can agree on a certain compromise for sure.

📌 There is a piano in my apartment. It's running me crazy when you start playing it without asking. Why. Just why. Don't do it. Never. :D

📌If you tell you that I'm tired it means I'm not in a mood for conversation. I have busy days and sometimes I'm too tired to even go to bed.

All in all, I hope you'll enjoy your stay in Vienna.
If you read my profile, please write in your request at least something small you found interesting in there- it will make me sure that your request is not only copy & paste one :) Thanks.

📝 Few tips for your stay:

📌Buy a subway ticket. It's really good here in Vienna, it's public transport system is probably the best thing in this city. And especially if you're planning to spend some time with me - I'm to lazy to walk for like 45 mins to get with you somewhere.

📌 Vienna is good for 2 days. When you're here for more, always think about some other options - otherwise you'll be bored. Maybe a day trip to Bratislava (capital city of Slovak Republic) or maybe 2 days in Prague? It's not that far away.

📌 Do you know the Hundertwasserhaus? I live on the same street. It's one of the most visited things in Vienna, so don't miss it - it's like 2 mins from my place.

Fav places to eat:
Salonwichtig
Feinessen
Vapiano

Fav places to drink:
Loco bar - cocktails for 50 cents!

Fav coffee spots:
many but I work @kaffeefabrik :)
