ABOUT ME

Just an internationally fascinated, curious, outgoing and searching person! I love spending time abroad, especially when I can stay a little longer to really experience and get to know another culture.

I love music, cooking, photography, art, theatre, going out to bars and clubs, walking around in cities and discovering new places. This is my third year studying law in Uppsala and I really like it. I lived in France for a year and I spent two summers working in the US. I'll probably go abroad for a year, starting next semester.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to take every opportunity to learn things I don't know and use every experience to grow. There is so much to see and so much to do but I still try to keep some sort of structure in my life. Right now I'm studying full time and I hope I'll be able to use my education to actually do something good. I believe in functioning, democratic societies, and there is definitely work to be done in Sweden, and everywhere, to make it work. Law seems like the right area to try and influence and practise correctly to make my contribution to this idea we call democracy.

I dream about the day I can pack my bags and go off on a long journey. I might want to travel alone and just let go of my life at home to really see what's out there.

I'm trying to host and attend as many events as possible. Will be surfing more when I can afford to travel again :)

Interests

I'll try almost anything once. Right now, my number one is playing the guitar, I bought one last year. Music is a really important part of my life, I like listening to indie, electronic, pop, jazz..not that genres really tell you anything.. Some of my favorites right now are Vampire Weekend, MGMT, Billie Holiday, Okkervil River, Beirut, Säkert! and Ane Brun. I love to cook and I'm trying to put up recipies on a food blog as often as I can, only in Swedish for now though. I make art from time to time, usually paintings and I'm also into photography. I love going to the Modern museum of art in Stockholm where I also used to take art classes. Love languages, learning about cultures, people, politics, places. I'm curious about most things and always eager to learn and explore. And, being a law student, I'm of course interested in legal theory, current cases up for trial, legal systems abroad etc.

Attended and worked at a 2 month long international leadership program for youth. Life changing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm good at cooking so I could definitely share that with you! Either cook for you or show you how! I'm not so sure I'm a very good teacher in the kitchen though, I never measure anything... And I can teach you a cup game.
