About Me
ABOUT ME
My name in Greek means "a dolphin" which is why new acquaintances usually laugh at my face. People say I'm very sociable, curious and too talkative at times. I am often described as cute and friendly... I'd say mostly childish and when necessary an over-thinking adult. I was born in Paphos, Cyprus and grew up in a tiny isolated village (80 people) on a mountain. Growing up in the village was on the one hand peaceful, safe and quiet but also very lonely. I grew up all alone with no other kids my age around, never had internet connection, computer, TV channels, etc. I studied English Language, Linguistics and Spanish Studies in Lancaster University, England, and did my Msc degree later in Scotland.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I am only a couch surfer but hopefully when I have my own place I will be able to host others. The experiences gained from every couchsurfing interaction are priceless and I am such a huge fan of the whole idea. People trusting and being trusted by strangers who become your friends for life shortly after you meet them. I love the cultural exchange and I appreciate and value the diversity of people I meet.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been hosted a few times until now and my experiences have been very very positive.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to a variety of genres and watch all kinds of movies depending on my mood. I have watched and I'm currently watching sooo many series. Favourite ever would have to be Fringe but I like countless others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
-Went camping for the first time, I got caught on an old fish hook while swimming, then burned my foot on a gas lamp and even though the day went horribly wrong, I ended up swimming alone at 3 in the morning in the hot sea water with a full moon and no other noise but the waves. Best day ever!
-Missed my flight back home due to a series of unfortunate events and ended up staying on a bench in Manchester. The people I met and the things I saw were worth the trouble. Funniest day of my life!
-I was leaving Scotland for good, I gave a whole bag of coins to a homeless man playing the drums and then he started singing a song about me as I was walking away.
-Camping in the snow. Great experience!
Even though these moments seem normal and ordinary, they will forever stay in my mind as the only times I felt absolutely free, calm and happy. As if i had nowhere to be and no one to report to and all i could do is relax and enjoy.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach English, Greek, basic Spanish and dancing. If you are into photography too, we could go out for photos together. I would like to learn everything about your culture and share little special things about mine. I'm currently in Germany, I speak no German and I'd like it if you could teach me a word or two.
