About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Just moved to Los Angeles and now travel up and down the coast on the weekends!
ABOUT ME
I laugh a lot and what I laugh about might sometimes not necessarily be funny to someone else. I can laugh about myself and sometimes I wish I could take the perspective of someone else and watch myself do something stupid (like falling over a suitcase in the middle of the busiest train station in Germany while having a 15kg backpack on my back!).
I enjoy being around people that I love, I enjoy being around people I do not know yet (and get to know them!) and most of the time, I enjoy being alone as well.
I am talkative but I know when to shut up. I love to be with a person where being silent is not an akward moment but a moment to enjoy.
I love the atmosphere of train stations and airports, the excitement in the air of people going places they have not been before. I love being outside in the countryside as much as I love the big cities and as I figured out throughout my travels, I do not need a lot to be happy!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My friend Laura and I were planning our summer trip through Europe and she "introduced" me to Couchsurfing. Ever since, I am completely convinced that Couchsurfing is the best way to travel around the world! Those 99% positive experiences let me recommend Couchsurfing as a way to travel to everyone I think is made for this kind of travel experience. When someone hears me talking about CS, they can hear that I am thrilled to share my experiences and convince other people to try it out themselves.I have made good friends through Couchsurfing, I have seen the most amazing places through Couchsurfing and I have had the best times while meeting other Csler or surfing someones couch!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of many little moments that cannot be described with words but will always be remembered...
Cambodia, September 2011, 4am in the morning.
Bus breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Everyone is sleeping. I am awake. They don't open the doors for fresh air and the air conditioning isn't working. I can hear thousands of mosquitos outside of the bus. I need to pee (shit!). I manage to push the door open just as far that I can get outside. Really be able to breath for the first time in hours. Looking for a place to pee. Then looking up the sky. Seeing so many stars as never before in my life. Cannot take my eyes off the sky. Risking malaria. Forget to pee. Return to the bus with 30 (or more?!) mosquito bites. They itch for 2 weeks. Totally worth it!
