O mnie
CURRENT MISSION
Trying to find my way to the present moment.
ABOUT ME
Fairly well travelled (India, Nepal, Europe, Central America, Argentina) ex-business man - now yoga teacher. I've lived all over the place (CT, NY, DC, CO, CA, FL) during the past 15 years. When I'm not busy being fascinated by the nexus between biology and spirituality I'm planning my next great adventure - possibly a bicycle trip from Columbia to Patagonia.
PHILOSOPHY
"I'm not so much interested in flexible bodies as I am in flexible minds." - Moshe Feldenkrais
"Be the change you wish to see in the world." - Gandhi
"What is success? To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty; To find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived; This is to have succeeded." - Emerson
Dlaczego jestem na Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Through this forum I've met wonderful people who have opened their homes and hearts to me and showed me places and things I would have never have experienced.
One person gifted their art to me and taught me the ways of dumpster diving, others have practiced yoga with me, many have shared a meal, and some have poured out their hearts over a glass of wine.
I think this idea and the people that share in it are precious.

Jedna niesamowita rzecz, którą zrobiłem(-am)
One of my favorite travel stories took place in Northern India in 1999. I was finally recovering from a severe bout of giardia, and after a week in bed I finally mustered the strength to collect a stool sample to take to the local hospital - some 5 kilometers walk away. While I was strolling slowly along the narrow mountain road I came upon an Indian woman who was frantically bending down to lay herself completely out on the ground - long prostration. It all seemed so surreal to me, until I saw the Range Rover that soon rounded the bend with the Dalhi Lama sitting in the passanger seat - hands in prayer position, head bowed. I'll never forget that one.
Another took place just a few years ago, when Richard Bach, the author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, took me flying in his two-seater, and let me take the helm as we circumnavigated the San Juan Islands [He/his books had been wildly influential to me during my earlier years].
