About Me

CURRENT MISSION

explore, enjoy, hope, love, laugh and make friends along the way!

ABOUT ME

I'm 27 and have finally finished my masters degree - watch out world, I'm free at last! Right now I'm travelling through south africa, brazil and argentina before I drag myself home later this year to find myself a real job... unfortunately the travel money has to come from somewhere!

I grew up in Zimbabwe and spent my childhood chasing lions out of the backyard, went to university at 18 in Cape Town (the most beautiful city in the world!), and now live with my family and friends in Brisbane on the tranquil east coast of Australia.

Music, Movies, and Books

music.... Blues, jazz, classical, indie, rock... depends what mood I'm in. But i'll dance to almost anything (badly)!

Movies... Whatever is on. Pursuit of happiness was good I think.

Books... Been a long time since I read a lot. When I do I really get stuck in though. I enjoyed "The mysterious incident of the dead dog at night". And also just finished reading women in love - that was hard going though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydived in Brisbane,
Rode elephants in the African bush,
Watched a wild lion kill from a boat on lake kariba,
Stood at the base of Foz do Iguacu and the top of Victoria Falls,
Visited the Ise Temple in the middle of an ancient Japanese forest,
Swam with wild dolphins off the beach on Stradbroke Island,
Watched embers rise from campfires under african night skies,
Swam out to a fishing boat in salvador and watched the sunrise

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm an architect, so love to talk about buildings, cities, and the people that make and inhabit them. It's not just a job, its a passion, and everywhere I go I find inspiration. It's like being a microbiologist and living in your laboratory - it can get too much at times, so I try not to take myself too seriously all the time... Visiting new cities is both a relief and a way to reinvigorate myself.

Countries I’ve Visited

Japan, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Australia, South Africa, Zimbabwe
