About Me
ABOUT ME
Like I said, I'm kind of a nomad. I was born in Buenos Aires, the city where my dad is from, and shortly after moved to the United States. I spent most of my years growing up outside Washington DC which is where I went to high school. For College/University I went to Wake Forest U. in North Carolina where I graduated in 2009 with a degree in Biology and Environmental Science. After graduation I moved to Valencia, Spain where I lived for 6 months to escape getting a real job or having grown up responsibilities! I had an internship at an extreme sports company and my main goal was to improve my Spanish, meet new people from around the world and get to know a cool new place! It was definitely the best 6 months of my life, I learned so much about myself and about the world and I think it was the most valuable learning experiences that anyone can have.
I currently live in Boston, MA and work for a neuro-robotics company out of MIT. I LOVE MY JOB. Literally I am one of those crazy people that wake up in the morning and loves what they do. My company has invented a robotic arm brace that helps people who have had a stroke or brain injury re-learn how to move their arms again. I really feel like I get to help people and improve the lives of so many. I can't tell you how great it feels to see the look of excitement on a patients face when they suddenly move their arm for the first time in years. My job requires me to travel almost every week (which actually is not as awesome as it sounds) so its pretty exhausting, but definitely rewarding :)
PHILOSOPHY
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, champagne in one hand screaming: 'Woo Hoo! What a hell of a ride!' "
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Surf, meet people for drinks, attend city gatherings and go to activities with other CS people. Right now I can't host, sorry :( I travel too much for work so I can't commit to having guests!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only surfed a few times, but I absolutely love the CS project, how it brings strangers together and creates new friendships. I have met some great friends on CS and had some really fun experiences with locals that I wouldn't otherwise have had. It really gives you a window into the way a local lives in a different city and I think this is the most effective and positive way to improve international relations...someone might wanna tell the U.N. ;)
Interests
I am interested in everything. I am curious about the world around me and how things and people work and fit together. I like to be active, to go outside and explore cool places meet new people. I can´t sit still for to long! I like being goofy, dancing, chatting, laughing, cooking(although I'm not very good), partying and learning new things from people! Oh, and I looove Argentinian wine :)
