Overview
About Me
My name is Micaela, I study law and political science in Buenos Aires, but will do an exchange program in Sciences Po from January to June 2018.
I looove learning languages. I speak fluent Spanish (duh), English and French, and I understand Italian, Portuguese and German. Throughout the years, I've also studied Latin, Dutch and Swedish, so I may catch a few words but I couldn't engage in a conversation with any of them — specially in Latin since it's a dead language, RIP.
I really like listening to music so it is most likely that you'll find me wearing my headphones at all times, and I also like walking, so those two activities usually go together.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because I like meeting people from all over the world. This site provides a wonderful opportunity to connect locals with tourists and I think that broadens our perspective about our life, our customs, our values and opinions.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't like every style or genre, but I do listen to a lot of music. My favorite albums are by Coldplay, Oasis, Soda Stereo, Owl City, Lorde and Arctic Monkeys but I don't listen to them often. I also really like Ed Sheeran, Yann Tiersen, Sigur Rós, Drake, Stromae, Cro and the Wise Guys.
What I'm curretly listening to mostly depends on the last movie or series I saw.
Regarding movies, I'm a big fan of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and probably anything Audrey Hepburn ever did, "Inglorious Basterds", "Good bye, Lenin!", "Jeux d'Enfants", and I'm crazy about "Relatos Salvajes", which perfectly embodies the argentine humor I have grown to love and adore all my life. Recently, I really enjoyed "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" because oddly enough, I could relate to a lot of the film's elements.
My favorite book is "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger. I came across it when I was 16 years old, at a time when I didn't have all the answers and didn't know what I wanted to do with my life. After reading so many books whose characters have it all figured out, getting the chance to meet one that didn't changed my perspective and helped me see that we're not equal (though some are more equal than others) and that it is okay to both despise change and look forward to it, without even knowing it. Moreover, I understood why we miss and why we judge so much. I know a lot of people don't like Holden Caulfield -the main character of the novel-, and I don't know what it says of me that this is my favorite literary book, but it is and I recommend it whenever I can.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've done is kind of private so I don't guarantee you that I'll tell you the story but you can very well try to get it out of me.
I can offer you the most amazing academical thing, and that would probably be flipping a coin to decide whether or not take the B1 Goethe Zertifikat, and passing that exam just a year after starting to study German while also maintaining a double major, 6 hours of French per week and volunteer work.
And if that doesn't do the trick, I worked as a paralegal in a law firm for six months while studying two different majors, one which was a double major by itself, so I did 15 subjects at once — and I survived.
