I'm a software engineer who enjoys learning new things. I'm definitely a nerd, but I'm also quite good at getting a long with people. I live in the beautiful state of Oregon and very much enjoy the outdoors, but don't get out as much as I'd like. In the past year or so I've really gotten into cycling. In August of 2016 I did my first bike tour with a buddy and it was a blast.

I'm a flexible guy who doesn't always need all the fuss of a hotel. Plus the prospects of meeting new people and forming a human connection sounds more fun than just doing business at a hotel. I've done AirBnB a bit and some of my friends think its weird, but I like it a lot better than hotels.

In high school my family did a 6 week loop around the western half of the United States in a travel trailer. I have a big family so one sibling slept on the floor and the two youngest slept in makeshift bunkbeds we built for the shower. We went to lots of amazing national parks.
