My joy and happiness comes from sharing time, food, spirits, and experiences with the people I care about and love -- and by sharing those same things with new and interesting people. My life centers around people.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My couch and home are open (and the pantry is, too).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Wonderful! I've had several different couchsurfing parties stay with me, all of whom have been an absolute blast. I've stayed with some amazing, warm, and very fun people, and I've met some really cool people traveling, too. It's been awesome.

Intereses

Surfing, surfing, surfing, hosting parties, travel (obviously), exotic food, a good concert, personal growth, languages. I get an enormous amount of satisfaction from deep experiences in nature and from, in perfect juxtaposition, road racing (think Forumla 1 but I'm nowhere near as skilled).

Música, películas y libros

MUSIC: I could list a bunch of current bands to prove how I'm hip and in the know musically, but I'd probably be: a) 2-5 months behind the curve b) not nearly underground enough c) without a sufficiently large list. Therefore, I will say that I am VERY likely to make ridiculous faces and play air guitar to Pink Floyd, Animals almost regardless of mood or circumstance.

MOVIES: As I type this, The Big Lebowski. It varies with mood.

BOOKS: Generally I read business books. In the past I enjoyed self-help a lot, but I think I'm through with that phase. Just finished Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk. Every time I read one of his books I get the distinct sense that while he eschews physical perfection, superficiality, and success; he is totally obsessed with all three and trying to cleanse himself of those feelings by talking shit. I just want to give him a hug and tell him it's OK to be a handsome, rich, narcissist.

I watched the sun rise over the desert in Israel and knew what it was like to feel connected on a genetic, core level to a piece of land. It was incredible.
