ABOUT ME

We are lovers of people, nature, adventure, and travel. Micah loves dark chocolate, Meg loves milk chocolate. We like quirky/interesting/different/unique

We have a dog named Gracie (photo here:https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/xOABynEkL82b2VXu67-Ne4CHQCWOJBardNSayESkK_0?feat=directlink) that can't come with us, which makes us really sad. Micah is from Colorado, USA and has grown up around the mountains, and met Meghan (from the midwest, USA) while living in Denver.

We are a newlywed couple and are taking an adventure around the globe, ending in New Zealand. We got married on July 3, quit our jobs as a teacher and nurse, and are looking to meet some amazing people, see incredible places, and experience something about the world we didn't know before.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Micah has housed many people when he was living in Honduras, but took a hiatus for two years upon returning to the United States.

My low response rate is due to the time I returned to the US, changed my email, and didn't login to the CS Project for a while, not because I don't show love!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had some amazing people stay with me in Honduras that were an absolute blast. I am fascinated at the similarities of people---incredible really that no matter how much distance, different cultures, and varied education separates people, we are really all so much alike.

CS was extremely positive for me in Honduras, and I hope that I will be able to experience actually surfing someone's couch now!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll have to ask Meg for hers, but I've had some pretty amazing experiences, including a high-five mid-air while snowboarding in Colorado. Epic.

Teach, Learn, Share

Meghan is a nurse and loves the complexities of the human body, specializing in the heart. Meghan is curious. Micah is curious.

We are both lovers of learning; that is the biggest reason we are taking this trip: to find out more about humans, about nature, about our relationship, about ourselves. There is always more to know.
