Overview
About Me
I am a visual artist from London, moving to Amsterdam to study at Gerrit Rietveld Academie. I am so fascinated with words and stories and love to jam with people from all over the world.
My passion for travels started 3 years ago when I lived and worked in Trinidad for 5 months at an eco-retreat in the bush, Lopinot Valley. I playing music, working, and living there opened my eyes to different rhythms, attitudes and cuisines and to a lifestyle of living off the earth.
I enjoy working travel like this to see way to see how life can be in different contexts. I used to be quite shy as a kid but such experiences have made me an extravert and I am excited to meet you. Whatever your story is, or language you speak, it interests me and I want to find a way to understand eachother and tell jokes and share stories!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I hosted a friend from South Korea in my home town, and ended up seeing my home in a completely different light while introducing him to my friends and favourite places
I hope couchsurfing can help me to hold onto that exciting naïvety of the openminded traveller, so i never stop exploring the place that I live in.
Interests
I think impermanence of nature is beautiful, and as an artist I live to find moments of natural beauty. Sometimes climbing mountains and trees to capture these scenes.
- mountaineering
- languages
- songwriting
- sustainable living
- storytellers
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Facing my fears by visiting Korea with no plan, and managing to learn enough Korean by organising language exchange sessions at the bath house i was staying at, to find a job in a guesthouse for 3 months and learn to ski and become a paid ski instructor.
What I Can Share with Hosts
i spend a lot of time finding the most beautiful places to stand in my city.
I'd love to go to see live music and dance shamelessly.
Even a "quiet" evening bonding with others while cooking a meal together.
And many musical instruments to share!
