About Me

Ghanaian student studying and living in Denmark.

I am hydrophile! :D I love life! I am alive mostly when I am immersed in water. Swimming is my favourite sport. I do most of my important thinking during this time. I have taken up belaying and bouldering courses and really liking the challenge but completely hating the pain.

I live with a "stolen dog" - my landlady's, but I call him mine. We have a-written-in-the-stars-matchmade-in-heaven kind of relationship. I hope this clarifies my deep love for dogs! I am sold to them. :-) His name is Pancho. We fell in love with each other the first time we met. He's a 3-year-old Brighton and an absolute diva!

I love to engage in open and honest discussions - preferably controversial and intellectual ones. Some of the topics I find particularly interesting are religion, politics and nature (natural resource management). But I am generally open to all discussions - so far as I am learning something from that interaction, I am intellectually satiated. :-)

I also love to cook and invent recipes along the way. I have not killed anyone yet so I guess it'd be safe to say that you won't die from eating my food!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find the Couchsurfing concept to be the best (yet), avenue for different people to meet and share cultural experiences (values etc.). I value time spent with people from different backgrounds and cultures, as they allow for quick /easy insight into other cultures and philosophies - however different or similar they may be. One can never meet enough people or possess enough knowledge, and that's a good thing! Couchsurfing has proven to be the right place for me thus far :-)

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a passionate lover of music. I think I appreciate many different genres although I think I have zero tolerance for electro and metal and those genres that fall within this category - sorry :-( I am a classical music, oldies jazz, soul, blues, RnB kind of person. I appreciate some kind of rock music. Reggae is for everyone - Culture, Lucky Dube and Bob Marley are my top 3 favourites. We could discuss musical genres and absolutely annoy each other with our likes and dislikes.

I don't watch that much TV although there are a couple of TV shows I enjoy watching. Friends, the Cosby Show, Mind your Language, House of Payne, Silicon Valley etc.

Hmm... That's a tough one as I mostly tend to love all of the books I read. I love Francine Rivers's style of writing, Alexander Dumas's Count of Monte Christo and Christoph Von Schmidt's Basket of flowers are my all time favourite Classics.
I'll return with more but that's all I remember off the top of my head for now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept for 23 hours straight. - But i guess this isn't a real feat.

Teach, Learn, Share

Knowledge on Ghana, West Africa and maybe other places in Africa
Cooking skills (not a pro though)
Dog psychology
How to eat chocolates?

What I Can Share with Hosts

Local knowledge of Aarhus and most parts of Midtjylland and my country of origin and perhaps my couch. But since my landlady accepts no males staying at my quarters, I can sadly only accept females 😔But I am open to male hosts.
