Hi I'm Michael,
I am a Product Design student from Hanover, Germany.
I also am a trained furniture maker (finished my apprenticeship before I started studying).
I have been travelling quite a lot. Especially through South East Asia.
I used to live in Chiang Mai, Thailand for a total of 9 months, where I was trained in different kinds of Thai Massage techniques.
I really do enjoy travelling and meeting new people a lot.
All in all I would say that I am a very open minded person and it's very easy to convince me to try new things :)

I just arrived in Hiroshima, Japan to start a semester abroad in October.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because I want to meet new and interesting people. I believe that you can only really get to know a new city by meeting up with locals and share some great moments with them.

I do listen to all kinds of music e.g. reggea, jazz, funk, blues, electronic...

Some of my favourite movies/series are: Inglourious Basterds, Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, Death at a Funeral, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, Californication...

Bookwise I really like fantasy books e.g. the Discworld Novels written by Terry Pratchett.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am always eager to learn about new cultures:
Peoples ways to think and behave.
I also love to learn new recepies from all over the world for I really enjoy cooking.
And that is also what I could share. And of course I am always willing to share some smiles and laughter :) For the ones interested I can also offer my knowledge but this we have to do during some nice talks or strolls :)
