Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Working on unified field equation to cement my Nobel.
ABOUT ME
My wife and I live in a rural area practically devoid of intelligent life. We have an abiding interest in other humans, in how they live and what they read and eat. Therefore we need to either get out and meet others, or invite others to our home. We are both in our 60s; she speaks a little German; he speaks Southern.
PHILOSOPHY
Try not to litter, especially the river. Try a little humility in all things.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
My wife and I have hosted Servas international travelers and Evergreen travelers (for those over 55), and WarmShowers (for cyclists) but have never been a guest. Just too shy to ask.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We have hosted many travelers.
Interests
Kayaking, hiking, bicycling, and lots of reading. My wife and I have bicycled across Georgia (Bicycle Ride Across Georgia: BRAG) and Iowa with the RAGBRAI annual events. We have kayaked the Mississippi River and parts of Tennessee and Florida.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
His most selfless act: Once, just before returning a rental car, I filled it up with premium gas.
His boast: I consider myself very talented, but not talented at any particular thing.
Teach, Learn, Share
My wife has retired from her lifetime career as a criminal defense lawyer. She's lobbied Congress and worked as a journalist for Larry Flynt and edited a couple of books. She has retired from taking any case, but hopefully our guests will not have pending criminal charges.
What I Can Share with Hosts
kayaks and a pool in the summer only
Countries I’ve Visited
England, Italy, Spain, Switzerland
