I'm Michael, 32, from Switzerland where I work as an electrical/software engineer. I travelled to many countries around Europe, the US and the world, mostly solo. I discovered couchsurfing fairly recently and already learned that it's a great platform to meet like-minded people.

When I travel, I usually rent a car and explore the country. I love long days on the road, seeing a lot of new things and do various activities. I'm definitely not the one who can sit at the beach all day long.

I'm most interested in great landscapes (such as the American national parks), in interesting museums (with a focus on history and technology) and sports activities (hiking, biking, swimming, surfing, snorkeling, skiing, and whatnot).

While I'm a rather quiet and introvert person, I also have my outgoing side and absolutely love to do things with a bunch of good people or just have an interesting conversation and a beer (or some...)

Arches, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Mesa Verde, Lassen Volcanic, Big Bend, Great Basin, Everglades, and many more US national parks.
