My name is Michael Boone, I am 24 and grew up in Marion Iowa. When I graduated high school, I moved to Steamboat Springs Colorado and from there started traveling every chance I was given. I have been all over the united states and have worked jobs in child development, conservation Corps and everything under the service industry sky. I started touring as a harmonica player in 2013 and have been playing music with different groups ever since. I am an avid hiker/backpacker and all around love the outdoors. I am incredibly passionate about people and different cultures and love a good time.

I enjoy a very wide range of music. I love blues, hence why I started playing harmonica. James cotton, Muddy waters, John Lee Hooker were all inspiration to me. But my music interests definitely don't stop there. I enjoy bands like James Blake, Alt J, Tallest man on Earth, The Avett Brothers etc. etc.

My favorite movies would be: Young Frankenstein, Whiplash, Donnie Darko, and Dumb and Dummber. But again I like all genre of movie

My favorite books would be: The Alchemist, The Last American Man, Cannery Row/ Anything written by Steinbeck.

This is a funny question, but I think one thing more amazing than travel and personal experience is the power we have when we put our time in developing youth. The most amazing thing I have done is, I have spent the last four years teaching and growing youth from around the world in an outdoor environment. In doing so I have learned more about myself than I could have ever hoped to in other facets of life.

I am very proficient at Harmonica, Drums, and Uke and love to teach all three. I also became very good at spinning LED Poi and Fire Poi and was on a fire spinning team for 2 years. Outside of that I can share an open mind and a loving positive attitude.
