About Me
Hello! On any given weekend, you will probably find me writing or coding at a coffee shop, skiing down mountains, running up mountains, or fixing my damn motorcycle. (Don't worry, it's a good kind of pain)
This month I finished my college degree in computer science, and the day after my last test my girlfriend and I took a flight to Barcelona.
We will be in Europe for 3 weeks, and would love to meet you, swap stories, and learn from each other.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've only recently learned about Couchsurfing, but its community really vibes with me. I love this idea. Historic sites and sweeping views are great, but making friends is the main reason why I travel.
Interests
My interests that are just about equally split between science and the humanities. Mostly, I just really like to create stuff.
Also cooking food, building slightly-stupid-yet-kinda-useful software apps, and writing are some of my favorite activities.
I've helped start two software companies. Technology seems to have great potential to both empower and harm humanity - I'd love to use it to do more of the former and less of the latter.
I love to get outdoors, especially into the mountains. Skiing and trail running are how I do those.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Anything by Rage Against the Machine, and anything by Debussy. Sometimes in the same hour.
Books: Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, Meditations of Marcus Aurelius, Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy
TV shows: Mr. Robot, Silicon Valley, Westworld
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rock climbing in Yang Shuo (楊朔), China.
I'm a terrible climber, but the mountains and views are so amazing they can make a person question the nature of their reality.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share my knowledge of Mandarin Chinese, programming, world travel, and how to cook an absolutely orgasmic hamburger.
I'd love to learn about what you personally find interesting. What are the things in life that make you most happy?
What I Can Share with Hosts
Besides being willing to do anything from mopping your floor to fixing your computer for fun (two of my favorite tasks), I can offer myself as a friend, a fellow human bean (sic), and a Pretty Chill Dude - just someone to meet and swap stories with, eat together, drink together, learn from each other, and experience a sliver of life with before our paths diverge into the sunset, maybe one day to meet again. Preferably under a sunset or over a rainbow accompanied by your choice of theme song.
