Hello! My name is Michael, and I am a recent engineering graduate from Chicago, Illinois (USA) who is traveling throughout Europe (for my first time!) for two months before starting my new job. I am a big fan of sports, hiking, trying new food, meeting new people, and just wandering around new places.

I am looking forward to exploring and having new experiences while I am in Europe. I hope to be able to use CS to meet new people on my adventures and to be able to show people around Chicago.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After visiting Peru last year for nearly two months, I realized that one of the best parts of traveling is getting to meet new people. I went on the trip solo and met some great people that I keep in touch with today (a few of which I am visiting on my trip to Europe!). I am looking forward to meeting new people, learning about their experiences and their hometowns, and going on adventures with new friends.

I have gone bungee jumping, shark cage diving, and surfing in South Africa.
