I'm Canadian and I've been living in Latin America for almost ten years - y mas o menos, puedo entender espanol. I love meeting people and building great relationships, and networking for great business. I live in Barranquilla, Colombia with my husband and our three kids (two cats and a dog). I'm a writer, a teacher, and an entrepreneur. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hosted two separate travelers this past summer and I really enjoyed the experience. Then just recently, someone told me about couch-surfing - and though I'd heard of it before, I didn't realize how trendy it had become. I've just listed my futon on the site and am actively looking to create contacts.

Interests

If I was loaded with cash, I'd own a live-aboard ship, running scuba diving tours year round. For now, I'm doing the next best thing - living next to the ocean, taking it easy and living each day as it comes. The fact is, there isn't much I don't enjoy doing. I'm just as happy with a group of guys playing paintball as I am alone in a hammock with a book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once dove off a boat in the middle of the night, 130 kilometers off the coast of Honduras. At a depth of 15 meters, we swam from the pitch black darkness of the ocean into a massive bloom of bioluminescent phytoplankton that lit up the ocean around us. It was masterful. Absolutely gorgeous.

Hmm.. I've been around the block a few times. I'm no expert but I do think I can share a lot of knowledge about creating relationships and building trust. Moreover, I'm a ghostwriter and a professional editor - if you need a document done or cleaned up, I can't do that for you. Next, I own a small company that does applications and digital marketing - I can help you improve your brand image, and I can show you some tricks in social media.
