I am a retired computer software/hardware engineer - I worked for Motorola/Freescale Semiconductors in Austin, Texas for over 35 years- I have three grown children (humanitarian/Spanish interpreter, doctor, journalist)- I live in the country in the Lost Pines south of Austin- I am a searcher, a musician(guitar), soundman, photographer(Instagram:michaelc154), outdoorsman to the extent possible- I love crystals and have attended the Tucson Gem and Mineral show the past 2 years- I like to cook (country style like I grew up with) and BBQ - I have traveled to Ecuador several times and have a special affinity for the country- I have backpacked in Colorado and New Mexico and hope to make it back to the Haynach Lakes in Rocky Mtn Natl Park before I can't do it anymore-

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

In Ecuador, in the jungles along the Napo River near Tena, there is creek, a tributary to the Napo- Following a trail up the creek an hour or so will bring you to a waterfall created from a large sink hole in the rock- The water is cool but mild and shallow in the pond below the waterfall and it is surrounded by the walls of the sinkhole covered with vegetation- It is a very spiritual place to me- Sitting in the pond or on the rock remnants of the sinkhole scattered about with the roar of the waterfall I felt a strong connection to this place- I had been to this place once before and felt I had to return some nine years later to see if time would have diminished the feelings I experienced there- It had not and my experiences since the first time only enhanced my perceptions there- Letting the waters cleanse my mind and wash away the baggage of my life that I no longer needed, I left that place renewed and ready for my next path-
