My name is Michael or Μιχάλης and I grew up in Cyprus and live in the US where I study at the University of Michigan. I love people, music, books and I'm fascinated by anything to do with nature, history, languages, and culture. Open-minded, curious, restless; determined to live freely.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and experiencing every different aspect of a place, especially authentic sides often overlooked; and of course I love meeting new people and having fun adventures and great conversations with them.

Summer 2019: I am looking to visit a location in Greece from July 15th to July 28th and meet someone who lives there to explore (hike, camp, go to beaches, cities, villages, countryside) together!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Drove 8 hours to central Kentucky to be in the path of totality for the solar eclipse of 2017 - the total eclipse turned daytime into nighttime for 2.5 minutes.

2. Traversed/crossed the River of the Dead (Acheron) by swimming/hiking through its wild canyon for 13 km.
