New to couchsurfing. Several friends have said this site has provided a lot of fun travel experiences, and I would really like to have some of my own outside of the U.S.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By hosting and participating in I would like to learn more about traveling, the world, cultures, music, and food. I hope to also be inspired by other couchsurfers and learn from their experiences... So, if any veteran surfers with a little insight want to lend some knowledge I would gladly hear it out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to this, but when I travel I usually crash on my friends couches or floors. I have seen most of the U.S. except for the North East (New York, Connecticut, Road Island, etc.) and plan on making that my first time out.

Interests

Music, food, conversations, hiking, beer, bars, photography (even though I am new to it), and seeing places in interesting cities no other traveler would know about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a summer flying a helicopter (I am a rotorcraft pilot) in Washington State in the cherry fields. Fantastic time!

Teach, Learn, Share

I specialize is alternative energies and operate a research and development firm. If anyone is interested in electricity, alternative energies, or engineering sciences I can probably lend a hand. But if you are interested in couchsurfing.... I have just began and can't share anything valuable with you right now.
